Welcome, Greenhouse Members!
Winter Information: Potting and Planting about to commence
Volunteer time is shifted to Wednesday mornings 10-12. Kris Ivory (see below) is our new Volunteer Coordinator.
MVCG NEWS

Please welcome Kris Ivory to the MVCG Staff!
Kris is our Volunteers Coordinator to help our many volunteers with projects, direction, and instruction.
The Hoop House is 95% complete! It is sealed, solid, and ready for overflow plant storage in early Spring and planting in May. The last step is sprucing up the edge seals and installing a simple crank system to lift the bottom edges to let heat escape during Summer months. The professional Grade Infrared Greenhouse film was overlaid in December with generous help from over a dozen of our volunteers.
The Greenhouse will be minimal activity December to February. This will save us heating costs until our crucial seed and plug planting in February. SO – Come pick veggies!! We still have peppers, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, tat-choi. Weigh and pay please, prices are on the front desk.
Pots Pots Pots! Bring back your plain (no logo) pots so we can clean hem and have them ready for February plugs and seeds.
Bring back your pots so we can recycle.
Watering Team
Thanks to the watering team for their hard work keeping our plants well moist and thriving. If you would like to be on the watering team, send us an email (below).
Volunteer ~ PLEASE PLAN ON FEBRUARY PLUGS AND SEEDS PLANTING!
Volunteer hours are winding down from the growing season. We will be closing down the main greenhouse later this Fall until February, thus volunteers won’t be needed. But come Winter planting time, we will fire up the furnaces and start propagating! All local hands on deck will be needed.
Enjoy our cooling quiet island Fall Season!

HELP by VOLUNTEERING! YES WE ARE OPEN! Winter Wednesdays 10-12.
Join the assembly line for Spring potting, seeding, and planting.
